ERCO (Engineering & Research Corporation) initially manufactured airplane parts before building the Ercoupe. The first Ercoupe flew in 1937 and a small number of Ercoupes were built before WWII. During the war, ERCO stopped all commercial manufacturing and built gun turrets, rocket pylons and radar antennas necessary for the war effort. These two post-war ads from some type of commercial directory tout ERCO's efforts during the war and also list both the Ercoupe and the machinery back in production.
