ERCO Post-War Capabilities Ads
ERCO (Engineering & Research Corporation) initially manufactured airplane parts before building the Ercoupe. The first Ercoupe flew in 1937 and a small number of Ercoupes were built before WWII. During the war, ERCO stopped all commercial manufacturing and built gun turrets, rocket pylons and radar antennas necessary for the war effort. These two post-war ads from some type of commercial directory tout ERCO's efforts during the war and also list both the Ercoupe and the machinery back in production.

Flying Magazine, April 1949
Many small airplane manufacturers fell on hard times when the expected boom in post-war light aircraft sales did not materialize. This small 1/9th page ad appeared on page 78 of the April 1949 issue of Flying magazine. It directed readers to send for the brochure on the new 1949 Ercoupe contained elsewhere on this site.
